As a new boat owner of inboards I found myself relying on a mechanics inspection report to ensure peace of mind when I purchased the vessel.
My report came back with no major issues ,well so they said!! End result without ranting about that service was one engine had a knocking noise that I could hear but wasn’t sure where it was coming from.
Paid another mechanic to start pulling the motor down to identify and his end result was “need a new motor”. You can imagine how disappointed I was at this point.
The +20K quoted was not something I was happy to pay and the legal cost to pursue the first mechanic would have probably been more. Anyway I decided to start asking around for some help and a good friend recommended Infinity Innovation & Design.
I called and discussed my situation and they were more than happy to give me their time and work with me to find an answer.
End result was I removed the remaining engine components and delivered them to their workshop saving me on that cost. They inspected the remaining components and were able to diagnose the knocking noise.
They discussed options with me and they also sourced parts from overseas saving me a considerable amount of money on parts.
I was very impressed with the care and understanding they provided.
Engine is back in now and I am very pleased with the overall cost and service they were able to provide.
